NSFC Grant received on Bitumen VOCs Reduction

We have successfully received a NSFC Grant on bitumen VOCs reduction. The Grant title is Synthetic Ca(OH)2-incorporated Zeolite as effective VOCs sorbents and ite multi-functional effect for Asphalt materials, with a financial support of 600 thousands RMB, from 201901 to 202212.

Since 2013, Dr. Xiao and his group focused on research on bitumen VOCs. They used GC-MS, TG-MS and some other technics to charaterize the bitumen VOCs. The volatile information of components and amount can be successfully reported with their proposed methods. They also reported the possibility of design Green Bitumen with Lower VOCs, by sythesis effective VOCs absorbers.

About Yue

An Associate Professor from State Key Lab of Silicate Materials for Architectures in Wuhan University of Technology, China since January 2014. Received PhD degree in Road and Railway Engineering in 2013 from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
